I heard about this book - Secrets of The Psalms- ordered it and it is more than I expected. I have studied the Bible extensively but did not know of this book until someone told me about it. It has over 60 different areas of your life that can be fixed or made much better by just going to the proper chapter as designated in the book, reading it and praying for what you are desiring. The Book Of Psalms in the Bible is known as the most powerful book in the Bible. I would recommend it to anyone.

Oblivion by Jessica Wood is a standalone romance. Oblivion is a great read it will have you laughing and sad and wandering what just happened. Jessica Wood does an awesome job telling the story of Olivia Stuart and Connor Brady and Ethan.

Olivia wakes up from a coma and cannot remember anything not even her name. There is a man by her side claiming to be her fiancé but she cannot remember him at all and is a little nervous being around him since she does not know him. Olivia is trying her hardest to remember what her life was like before her accident. Along this Journey, she is staying with Connor her fiancé and runs into Ethan and has feeling for him but is trying to stay loyal to Connor since he claims they were engaged.

Connor Brady is Olivia’s fiancé and is doing everything he can to take care of her and stand by her side through the amnesia and while she was in the hospital. However, does he have other motives for keeping a close eye on her and making sure she does not leave.

Ethan is a guy that Olivia ran into leaving the hospital and she felt an instant attraction to him that she does not have with Connor. Ethan cannot seem to get Olivia out of his head and will do whatever he can to keep seeing Olivia even though she is engaged. However, is there a secret he is hiding from Olivia?

Oblivion has twist and turns you are not sure what is going on in some parts but other parts you are laughing and hoping she gets her memory back and can remember what happened and who Ethan and Connor are.
I give this a five star review it was great and it kept me reading wanting to know what was going on. I recommend you get this book and read it you will not be disappointed.

Loved this book from Jessica Wood!!! lots of twists and turns. Liv has no memory after being struck by a car. Her fiancé Connor is right by her side. loving and patient as she tries to regain her memories. Then in walks Ethan. he seems to always be there when Liv needs a knight in shining armor. but as with all Jessica Wood's books all is not as it appears!!! full of romance and secrets and an ending that had me stunned!!! 5 star read!!!

I absolutely loved this book! Sit back and get ready for some bombshells that you don't see coming. Things aren't always as they seem. Oblivion by Jessica Wood will keep you wondering and questioning what you would do. I could not put this book down. It is a definite five star read for me!

What would you do if you woke up in the hospital with no memory of who you are or what happened to you? That's exactly what happened to Olivia. Olivia woke to a stranger in her room that said he was her fiancé. Connor was handsome, rich and seemed to dote over her. Olivia was in for lots of surprises.

While waiting to leave the hospital, Olivia literally falls into the arms of yet another stranger. He was bad boy handsome in his jeans and worn leather biker jacket. Olivia felt an unexpected connection to the stranger. Ethan came on strong and had no problem telling Olivia exactly what he thought about her.

Connor showers Olivia with gifts but can't give her what she really wants – his time. Connor always seems to put his company first.

After continually being disappointed, Olivia finds herself running into Ethan, the stranger from the hospital. He just has a way about him that makes her smile.

Olivia wants to feel for Connor what she thinks she should, but those feelings just aren't there. She is torn between the man she's supposed to marry and the man who makes her feel alive. Who will she choose?

Informational Structure of Policy Analysis: Dunn's approach

This book is an precise and extensive endeavor for understanding the problems, boudaries and potential use and application of knowledge for improving governmental performance.
Te basis of Dunn's approach to policy analysis, is that it depends to the production and transformation of five policy relevant information (about policy problems, policy futures, policy actions, policy outcomes and policy performance) through five policy-analytic procedures (problem-structuring, forecasting, recommendation, monitoring, and evaluation).
Perhaps the most important distinction is that problem structuring, "...which affects the use and asessment of the other four procedures, is really a metamethod (method of methods) that funtions as central regulator of the overall process of policy analysis." (page 65)
This analytical framework provide one of the most single effective way to analyze public policies and government programs, where the most important analyst's role is both to generate useful knowledge for decision making in all phases of policy process, and to generate plussible arguments by analythical procedures.
It is an ideal book for bachelor and graduate students interested in public problems that face governements, and in the role that can play all policy analyst in policy making.

Must-have text for policy creation and analysis

When it comes to public policy creation and analysis, this book may as well be the bible. The author is very experienced and knowledgeable and it shows in this masters- or PhD-level textbook. If you’re reading this review, it’s probably because you have to buy the book for a class… if that is the case, then please know that the book is broken into nine chapters, each about 30 to 40 pages long, and is filled with charts and tables. If you are interested in policy creation and analysis, you will enjoy this textbook.

The book really introduces you to a world of methods and ways of thnking policy analysis, that you can later explore more in depth on your own. It would only be good to have more references to recent publications, since most of them are to works back in the 70s and even beyond that.

Creative and challenging.

This book had me intrigued before it had even released. I waited and waited for it to be released-finally, the day came for the release. I was *not* disappointed! This book has some very challenging pictures, do not be fooled into thinking this color-by-number is for children! They even provide you with both a natural palette or a vivid color palette to choose for each picture. The beginning of the book shows examples of what the natural color palettes will turn out like. At the back of the book, there are 8 different masks to color and cut out, making it exciting for even the little ones to be involved! Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and I would definitely recommend this!

Good but not great...

Things I look for in a coloring book:
1) I prefer the pages to be single sided to reduce change of bleed through and affecting whatever design might be printed on the back - this book utilizes both sides of the page.
2) Coloring books should either have a lay-flat binding, appropriate margin at the binding to accommodate comfortable coloring and/or should be perforated to facilitate coloring. While this book indicates it has perforated pages, it does not appear that all pages are perforated for easy removal AND there are several designs that occupy two facing pages - these will be difficult to color indeed as the design descends into the binding region.

There are a variety of animal designs and I do like the palette suggestions. I expect I will get a fair amount of coloring time out of this book.

A great starting point and reference for developing or updating range rules.

This e-book provides a great starting point, and is an excellent resource for the beginning range or club that is creating or updating their range rules and procedures.

Knowing that the author Alex Haddox has been involved in Marital Arts, shooting, and personal safety for a long time I was pleased to discover that he has published an e-book on developing standards and procedures for range operations. Although this tome may not interest the casual reader, anyone who is involved with the management of a shooting range can benefit from its contents.

The index is concise and complete, covering most topics that range cadre need to be aware of to run the range, keep people safe, handle basic situations and emergencies, and understand issues of potential liability. The e-book also helps you establish proper documentation practices to maintain the range manual as a living document.

Topics include emergency and evacuation plans, record keeping, and opening and closing of the range. These are all important themes to cover when establishing range policies. In addition, several basic sample forms are provided for general activities and emergencies.
I am the president of a shooting club with 50 members. Our club was just about to go through a process to update our standards and procedures, when I came across Alex's e-book and ordered it immediately.

The only reason I didn't award 5 stars was because it wasn't as complete and detailed as I would have hoped for my purposes. As I already have a set of range rules, I was looking for a tips on a better way to organize our existing manual, and more detail around range operations that I might not have considered or been aware of.

The e-book it is a good general overview. I would also like to see a paper version with the addition of more templates and forms to make the process of developing SOP's more turnkey. It is not easy to find information on this topic and I am glad to see that Alex Haddox has made available a concise manual to help with the process of developing or improving range procedures.

Great book, a very nice template to start with.. perhaps could be a bit more detailed, but then again, this could make it more difficult to comprehend..i wonder if a chapter on shotgun safety (for clays) would be a simple additional chapter..

For scholars, students or just anyone who is interested in the life of Yup'ik people, their history, social organization and cultural traditions, this is a solid basic text. The author, well-known expert on the region, portrays social changes, which occurred in the Bering region in the 20th century, and shows their implications for today.

Very good but not perfect

Overall an excellent book. It has a great overview of astronomy, and some good guides in what to look for in a telescope and what to look at in a telescope once you have it. Then there are whole sky star maps, and maps broken down to smaller areas. It's got plenty of targets for binoculars and small scopes. So if you're just getting started and have binoculars, but no scope yet, this is a great book. Let me emphasize (as the book does) that a department store telescope is likely worse than a $20 binocular, because it will lead to more frustration than it is worth.

I do wish that the charts maybe had finder views of a few objects as well, perhaps in the bottom margin. A second important thing would be to warn users about what they CAN'T see from an urban or suburban location. You might think that magnitude 7-8 objects would be just visible, but many aren't. Many things that are easy from a dark sky site are very hard or impossible from a city. It doesn't emphasize this enough for beginners who don't have the experience to know this.
Other things to buy might be a plansiphere. Also a more detailed atlas like the Bright Star Atlas, The Cambridge Star Atlas, or for even more detail, the Sky & Telescope's Pocket Sky Atlas. Keep in mind that the more detail you see, the more confusing it can be. And that's another strong point of this book. The charts in here are very easy to understand and non-threatening, perfect for beginners. And lastly, if you do get a telescope, Turn Left at Orion: A Hundred Night Sky Objects to See in a Small Telescope--and How to Find Them is a great book too. It has very detailed directions for finding everything in there. So if you can't find some of the objects in here, Turn left at Orion will probably help.

I also want to mention that the spiral binding works great for the star maps to keep the book easily open and flat.

Hurry Buy THIS book

If you are a beginner, buy this book immediately. It is probably fabulous for the rest of you, too. :) I am just getting started myself and have spent just a short time with it. I look forward to learning and appreciating it even more. Beginners absolutely need it. Try to read before you get a telescope, but even if you have made a purchase, will be able to help you make best use of it and help you avoid frustration.

This book is first of all beautiful with many color photographs to enhance the comprehensive text. The content is engaging and easy-to-understand.

Buy, enjoy, and have fun. Also, the book is worth the $35.00 price, but Amazon has a great discount.

This is an excellent starter for visual astronomy

This is an excellent starter for visual astronomy. I began stargazing at age 12 and I so wish I had this comprehensive guide back then. The star maps are among the best I have seen for the lay person. It also includes a list of must-see objects and adds insight on observing them. The comments are awesome for the small telescope user and gives much advice on the pitfalls of purchasing one. Nightwatch is incredible for binoculars and small telescopes but includes much more.

Thom Holmes is a composer and music historian. He studied composition with Paul Epstein in Philadelphia, was the longtime publisher of the magazine Recordings of Experimental Music (1979–85), and worked with John Cage.

Hard to put down!

For anyone interested in Electronic Music this is a must have and must read book.
It puts all genres in the correct historical and musical context and provides great
info about creators of the instruments as well as the music alike.

Complete, comprehensive and compelling

Poirier and McKee present a wealth of information on the history of human evolution. They outline the methods of dating, identifying and assembling hominid fossils. Dating is shown to be, within the ranges of accuracy, nearly an absolute with today's technology. With the age of the fossil[s] established and the parts identified, the fossil may then be placed in its proper location on the human family tree. Poirier and McKee spend the remainder of the book describing the concepts, controversies and resolutions associated with that final step. The material requires attentive perusal, but the interested reader will be richly rewarded.
Early hominid fossils were chronologically located by stratigraphy - the position of the fossil in the rocks in relation to other, known, remnants. The early finds were often located in poorly identified areas, or mistakenly dated for a variety of reasons. Paleoanthropologists of an earlier day lacked the technology available today. Worse, they were often unaware of the need to examine the likely environment of the time the fossil was laid down. As the authors point out, this misunderstanding led to misinterpretation of how evolutionary relationships were structured. Today's "digs" are the subject of multi-discipline effort, with botanists, geologists and other fields represented. The more comprehensive picture laid out by these environment associated with the find allow a firmer footing on our ancestral lineage.
While that assertion sounds promising and our heritage is now viewed with confidence, nothing could be further from the truth. Where the human evolutionary tree once looked rather simple, with but a few offshoots extending from the central trunk, the improved accuracy of dating shows many branches. How many of these truly belong on the main branch and how many led to the dead end of extinction is what gives this book its real value.
Paleoanthropology has been among the liveliest of sciences. The debates and controversies have left academic halls and achieved public exposure. Poirier and McKee present the contentions of most of the major figures in the field with circumspection and clarity. With each new find, various interpretations arose, researchers attacking and defending positions from various foundations. The authors give each assertion its due, with resolution occasionally based on their own assessment. They have no hesitation in stating their own position, but it's given with justifications. Counter arguments are made with confirming data. Evidence is shown, but not nearly as strongly as the need for new results. This book, in many respects, reads like an academic work, but that in no small part is due to the authors'
call for more work in the field.
It would be unfair to say that every hominid fossil is given the authors' personal scrutiny, but the impression is proximate. Nearly every major site, with many of the associated prime fossils are described, sometimes with maps and photographs. The illustrative material, maps, diagrams and photographs are invaluable. About the only missing element is a single skeleton and skull with the bones frequently discussed in the book labeled. While many are, they must be examined out of context in many cases. If you have the anatomy, you won't need the information, but the rest of us require the crutch.
For anyone wishing to keep abreast of the research in determining where humanity comes from, this book is a treasure. Given the amount of information the authors had to cope with, the work is clear, unequivocal and immensely valuable. While not a light read, there's little to obstruct even the novice reader. The material is well organized and presented with a clear, straightforward style. Since the authors' aim is to explain [and recruit!] without perplexing the reader or seeking adherence to positions, they have produced a book that will endure.

I appreciate that it tries to take an unbiased standpoint, which is easy to overlook with anthropology, but I can't exactly say it was the most exhilarating textbook I've read.
